About Me

Hi Gorgeous, welcome to Psychology in Style.

My name is Teodora, although my friends call me Teo.

This blog is a place to discuss fashion, style, and psychology through a (mostly) academic lens.

My Qualifications

I have a Masters in Science in Applied Psychology in Fashion from the University of the Arts, London, and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Political Science from Loyola Marymount University.

The three years between degrees involved working in mental health clinics, working with children with developmental delays as well as individuals with severe eating disorders. I’ve also lead group therapy with adolescent girls dealing with eating disorders.

Alternatively, fashion has always been an interest and passion of mine, and I felt that I wanted more of my life to revolve around it.

My decision was either to continue in psychology and attend graduate school for clinical therapy in Seattle, or move to London to study Fashion Psychology.

Three years later, here I am in London working in a field that doesn’t relate to psychology or fashion.

So…

This blog emerged out of the realization that I shouldn’t have to give up my passions and interests just because my job doesn’t relate, and there are still ways to stay connected to them.

My Mission

My mission is to share opinions, like most blogs do, but with a strong foundation in critical thinking and academic research. In an internet full of unverified claims and weak arguments, I aim to provide well-supported, thoughtful perspectives.

If there’s a topic you’re interested in, drop me an email, I’d love to dive deeper into it.

Stick around if you love fashion, human behavior, psychology, and understanding more of how the world works.

Xoxo,

Teo <3
